Over the years, you hear horrific stories of young kids who wandered into the wrong areas to "trick or treat" during the Halloween season. This application was developed so parents could monitor their areas recent crime rates and identify which places to avoid when wandering the streets late at night.
All you do is enter your postcode, click go and you can see recently documented crimes in your vicinity. The higher the number of crimes, the darker the point is... Simple!
We are a group of first year students at University College London, and a masters student from DePaul in Chicago, that created this application during the Porticode 2.0 Hackathon at UCL! The process was tough yet very rewarding and we hope this app makes you feel safer during Halloween! Happy Halloween!!
